HeartBeats - Love is the Answer

Welcome to this Year's Heart Trail in the Mountains

This summer, the alpine village of Andermatt transforms into an open-air gallery of emotions and creativity.

From 4 July to 17 August 2025, HeartBeats brings over 40 hand-painted heart sculptures to the heart of the Swiss Alps –
each a powerful symbol of love, diversity, and human connection.

Crafted from resin and standing two metres tall, these unique works have been created by artists from around the world.
Scattered across Andermatt, they form a captivating Heart Trail that invites guests to explore art in nature.

Spotlight: The Capsule Collection at The Chedi Andermatt

At the center of the experience lies an exclusive highlight: the “Mi Confession” Capsule Collection by Géraldine Boyard, hosted by The Chedi Andermatt. In this emotionally charged series, the artist explores the journey of love – from hesitant beginnings to passionate devotion.

Each sculpture captures a stage in the emotional arc: the temptation of the first bite, uncertainty, wonder, longing. Visitors are invited to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their own experiences through these expressive, large-scale hearts.

A Celebration of Creativity, Connection, and Community

HeartBeats brings color and emotion to the mountain landscape – a peaceful uprising for more love, more diversity, and more togetherness. As part of the national HeartBeats – Love is the Answer tour, the exhibition serves as a creative call to action and a reminder of art’s transformative power in times of uncertainty.

Founded by Claudia Knie and Carolina Caroli, HeartBeats is a global art initiative that encourages compassion and connection across cultures. “We want HeartBeats to offer people in Andermatt a positive and artistic experience – and to demonstrate how art can inspire hope and change,” the founders explain.

Artful Moments: Events & Experiences

Throughout the exhibition period, weekends in Andermatt will come alive with engaging activities designed to deepen the connection to art and creativity. From guided artist tours and workshops to poetry, sound, and photography, each weekend offers something unique. The highlight: a festive grand finale at The Chedi Andermatt, celebrating art, music, and togetherness.
