Alpine, Asian and locally connected. Surrounded by mountains, forests and meadows, Andermatt and The Chedi Andermatt have dedicated themselves to nature. We are committed to sustainable action, responsible use of resources and regionalism with the aim of continuously reducing CO2 emissions in the region and in all hotel and residence buildings.
All nine houses that belong to The Chedi Andermatt are excellently insulated and built according to low-energy standards. In return, 100% of our electricity comes from hydroelectric and wind power in the Gotthard region.
The Chedi Andermatt is easily accessible for both guests and employees by public transport. Furthermore, the majority of our vehicle fleet is electric and we also offer four charging stations where guests and employees can charge their electric vehicles with 100% green electricity. Andermatt also offers the sustainable "on-demand" transport service "mybuxi". This innovative combination of taxi and bus gives guests, residents of the region and employees of local businesses and guests maximum flexibility and mobility on demand. For this, mybuxi uses electric cars powered by green electricity.
Our The Spa & Health Club uses well-known and tested brands with 100% natural ingredients for treatments.
The Chedi Andermatt supports the non-profit organisation SapoCycle, which transforms our soaps into life-saving products to improve the hygienic conditions of families in need instead of disposing them.
Our Aqua di Parma bottles are also made from recycled PET.
Awareness-raising and regular training in various sustainability topics is important for us.
The Chedi Andermatt places great emphasis on cooperation with local suppliers. Our restaurants rely on regional and fair trade products for their culinary ingredients.
Andermatt bears the "Swisstainable" label from Switzerland Tourism. You can find out more about this here.
